Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble – In Step

Stevie Ray had just renounced substances after years of drug and alcohol abuse; a theme that became the album's common thread. Lou Reed selected "In Step" as one of his albums of 1989, while it reached number 33 on the Billboard 200 and the single "Crossfire" claimed number one on the mainstream rock charts

Tragically, though, "In Step" would also be his last album with Double Trouble before Vaughan died in a helicopter crash in 1990.
