Bringing It All Back Home, Dylan's fifth studio album, was part of a transformation process the singer underwent in the '60s. While he recorded songs like Mr. Tambourine Man and It's All Over Now, Baby Blue acoustically on the B-side, he had a band accompany him with electrically amplified instruments on the A-side.The movement from folk to rock, from counterculture figure head to self-aware rock artist with surreal, linguistically complex lyrics, was widely seen as a betrayal by his fans.
